Our Story…

Owner Andy Weldon brought the Ice Burg to Warrensburg in June 2024, operating the truck solo that summer, with the help of his daughters Sophia, Zoey and Emma.

After the first successful season bringing a combination of nostalgia and modern treats to Warrensburg, the 2025 season saw an expansion hiring 3 employees, allowing the truck to run 7 days a week!

Near the end of 2025, we expanded into neighboring communities; Higginsville, Lexington, Holden, Centerview, Odessa and Concordia.

2026 will bring major changes. This new website, improved tracking, several new employees, and a second Ice Burg!

Our Policies

We believe more information is a good thing. You can choose to use it or not. Life today can move quickly, and having thi

We make every effort to get to everyone once per week. This will depend on weather, staffing, and how busy the routes are. But this is the goal.

We accept cash, card and tap-to-pay methods, such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

There will always be a tracker available. This will allow you to see when we are getting close to your street. The music is loud, and can often be heard several streets away. The tracker is the best way to know how close we are.

We try very hard to follow the same route within each zone every time. This makes it predictable when we’ll be on your street. There’s no need to wave us down from several blocks away. We will methodically progress through our route so that everyone has a fair chance to partake. Sometimes the driver may stray slightly off route, but will come back to where they left off.

While we follow the same path through the zone each time, we will often alternate going “forwards” and “backwards”. The route will be set on the map forwards. Then, in order to be fair, we will run backwards every other time. Reason for this is that if you are the first house on the first street of the zone, you and/or your kids may not be home right when we begin the route. Therefore next time, we’ll run backwards, making your house the last stop. This also helps the last house on the route. Their kids may be close to bedtime when we get there, so running backwards just keeps it fair for everyone.

Our drivers are trained to drive 5mph through the zones. The only exceptions to this is where houses are spread out very far. I regularly monitor the drivers to make sure they follow procedure. That being said, it’s important that if you really want to get a treat from the Ice Burg, that you make it outside before we pass by. Loud music, the tracker, our slow pace, and our texting program should make this doable. If you’re going to cut it close, run outside and make sure the driver sees you and knows you want something. Then you can go back in and grab the kids and wallet. With the vast number of patrons we serve, the drivers just don’t have time to be circling back on streets multiple times. They need to keep moving so that everyone has a chance.

Our maps, zones and routes are posted on the Maps page. If you have any questions about the route, you can reach out via the Contact page, or email us directly at info@iceburgfrozentreats.com.
